The Academy of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz
Dance School

Founded in 1981, the Academy of Ballet, Tap and Jazz has distinguished itself as one of Arizona’s leading classical dance training schools in Tucson.  Our highly skilled, professional staff, offers ballet, tap, and jazz dance classes for students preparing for a professional career, as well as those wishing dance lessons for the many other benefits. All ballet classes, jazz classes and tap classes are carefully graded for age and technical level. This allows each student to be given the individual attention necessary for his or her progress. Our dance studio offers fifteen levels of ballet and pointe classes, and nine levels of tap and jazz classes. Three spacious dance rooms are available to students from beginning through advanced levels, ages three through adult.

All students are treated as individuals and encouraged to work towards developing strong technique and discipline. The beautiful, artistic standard, taught by the professional staff and developed by the students, is proudly performed in the annual school recital and the intensive summer workshop performance. This season the school recital, held at the Tucson Convention Center Music Hall, will include a tap dance and jazz dance showcase along with the ballet The Wizard of Oz. All students are invited, but not required, to perform in this fun event. Pulling together, the self-expression and individuality of each student makes this performance most joyous for all families. The beautiful scenery changes and costumes allow all of the children, teen and adult dancers to experience the feeling of being in a professional ballet company production.

Featuring professional training through day and evening Tucson dance classes and intensive summer workshops for children, teen and adult students.
